Learn about the history of Japanese Americans in the United States by exploring the progression of Japanese immigration, to the settlement of Japanese immigrants, to the forced removal of people of Japanese ancestry after the U.S. entrance into WWII, and finally to the experiences of Japanese Americans in the confinement sites.

Kokoro Kara (“From Our Heart”) is our award-winning magazine. The publication includes original feature articles on Heart Mountain history, contributions by former incarcerees and their descendants, updates on the Foundation’s work, and news related to the Japanese American incarceration. Draft Resisters at Heart Mountain
